I'm gonna sit at the welcome table,
I'm gonna sit at the welcome table
one of these days, Hallelujah!
I'm gonna sit at the welcome table,
I'm gonna sit at the welcome table
one of these days.

MTP Pilot Communities: Philadelphia

Philadelphia

Philadelphia, in Neshoba County in East Central Mississippi, became infamous during the summer of 1964, known as Freedom Summer, when three civil rights workers were murdered there. Since early 2004, a group of local citizens known as the Philadelphia Coalition has been leading the charge for justice and setting an example for other groups in the state.
